These amazing presenters will be delivering great sessions that were shared at conference. Whether you were present at conference or didn’t have chance to attend, now is your opportunity to catch some great professional development and CS education content. Listed below are the different topics covered during this month’s series.

 

(1) Inclusive CS in Elementary: Empowering Students w/ Disabilities – Computer science instruction for elementary students with disabilities: access, tools, resources, and examples from CS educators.

 

(2) Empowering CS: Resource for New CS Educators: “Empowering CS Educators: Resources for New Teachers” is a virtual, self-paced module designed to provide new CS Educators with practical tips and tools. Elements built into the course are designed to support new teachers in CS by addressing basic concerns such as how to decide what students should learn, what types of resources exist to help them get started and various funding opportunities that could help provide the resources teachers need.

 

(3) Welcoming Students and Families to Computational Thinking – Engage in activities from a computational thinking (CT) assembly and family engagement event, and consider how informal education can support you!

 

(4) Creating a Toolkit for CS Learners – Create a toolkit: collaborative rules, differentiated assignments, student roles & responsibilities and classroom management techniques
