You are cordially invited to participate in the 2024 Expanding Computing Education Pathways (ECEP) Illinois Summit. We greatly appreciate your willingness to contribute your time and expertise.

RSVP today!

WHAT TO EXPECT: This event will bring together key stakeholders in Computer Science (CS) education from around the state of Illinois to achieve the following goals:

  1. IDENTIFY key CS education stakeholders throughout Illinois, including those not in attendance at this summit.

  2. AMPLIFY current CS education efforts and ALIGN common stakeholder goals around strategic areas of focus.

  3. SUPPORT WORKING GROUPS by providing feedback on the State Action Plan on Computer Science Education as we seek to identify and  address CS education needs and priorities for Illinois.

  4. ADVOCATE for the priorities outlined in the Action Plan. Learn skills and methods of advocacy that you can use within your own sphere of influence to help drive broadening participation efforts throughout the state of Illinois

ECEP Illinois research partners from The Institute for Advancing Computing Education will present progress on a new Illinois landscape report. Our friends at IWERC will share current data and findings related to the State of CS education in Illinois to help drive the day’s discussions. Finally, we will share a new project related to the history of CS education in Illinois and ask participants to contribute as we celebrate past accomplishments and look toward the future.
