  • Joining us for a discussion on ELL strategies in the CS Classroom is Dr. Wuri Kusumastuti.

Dr. Wuri Kusumastuti is an experienced educator and curriculum developer with over 15 years of expertise in empowering teachers and learners worldwide. Since 2009, she has been a leader in training professionals preparing for overseas studies and providing guidance in educational consultation and IELTS test preparation.

Currently, Dr. Kusumastuti focuses on training IT educators at international schools in Dubai and Indonesia to teach computer science effectively to English Language Learner (ELL) students. Her innovative approach emphasizes building multilingual understanding of technical terminology, providing definitions in both English and students’ native languages. This strategy not only enhances comprehension but also bridges language gaps in STEM education.

Dr. Kusumastuti is passionate about creating equitable, inclusive learning environments that empower ELL students to excel in computer science and artificial intelligence. By blending her expertise in technology, language education, and teacher training, she is driving a global shift toward more accessible and culturally responsive education in the digital age.
