Goals

Launch the CSTA K-12 Standards revision process!

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of standards writers and the timeline for writing
  • Introduce the Reimagining CS Pathways project and output (including recommendations)
  • Reflect on current CSTA K-12 Standards and state-adopted K-12 CS standards
  • Grapple with high-level questions around organization, structure, and direction

Outcomes

  • Action plan for addressing Recommendations for Standards Writers from the Reimagining CS Pathways report
  • Prioritized list of changes to the CSTA K-12 Standards, Revised 2017
  • Initial ideas (preliminary decisions) about some structural/organizational elements
