The welcoming environment from the CSTA staff and the educators that I have worked with is my greatest motivation to be involved with CSTA.
What have you learned that’s most interesting to you either about the CSTA or K-12 CS Education?
I have learned that there are lots of educators who are passionate about CS as much as I am.
What do you hope for CS education in the future? How do you believe CSTA will help in achieving this?
My hope is for CS education to become a foundational and core subject-based, with a foundation on equity and inclusivity. CSTA’s mission and vision have equity and inclusion as a foundation, and for this reason, I believe that CSTA will be committed to achieving this.
What else would you like to add that might be interesting to readers about you, your commitment to CSTA, or perhaps why others should also be interested in becoming involved?
I am a passionate educator who strives to advocate for equitable and inclusive computer science and STEM. I also believe that we need to be loud and stand up for any injustices harming educators and students.
