This session explores strategies for engaging students in urban schools by using real-world STEAM projects to address community challenges. Attendees will learn how to design interdisciplinary lesson plans using the 5E instructional model, integrate project-based learning, and apply technology tools like coding and data analysis to solve problems. The presentation will include examples of classroom projects, approaches to cross-grade collaboration, and methods for assessing student learning outcomes in meaningful ways.
