My CSTA Story

Lauren joined CSTA in 2024, driven by a deep passion for equity and a determination to ensure that every teacher and student has access to opportunities in the computer science education space. Her professional goals align with CSTA’s mission, embracing the belief that teaching is a challenging and constantly evolving field where teachers need every ounce of support we can provide. Lauren is committed to igniting a sense of community and passion among educators and partners alike.

My Story

Lauren Welke is a dedicated relationship builder with extensive experience in resource development, community service, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In her role as Director of Strategic Partnerships, Lauren is committed to fostering collaboration within the computer science community, because we are better when we work together.

Lauren lives in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago with her husband and their daughter. If it’s summer, you’ll find us at a park or a pool and if it’s winter, you’ll find us watching shows like “Is It Cake?” by a fire with our cat.
