CSTA’s education team has compiled these recommended sessions for the Equity in Action Summit, set for April 2. These recommendations also include the corresponding alignment to the CSTA Standards for CS Teachers

Power On! with the Teacher’s Resource Guide to CS Equity

Presented by Sarah Ciras, Shanti’ Coaston, and Megan Bowen 

Grade Band: 6-8, 9-12 

In this session, we will share resources/strategies that align with the new graphic novel, Power On! to teach CS equity in 6-12 classrooms. Session aligns with CSTA Standards 2a. Examine issues of equity in CS and 2b. Minimize threats to inclusion. 

Disrupting the School to Prison Pipeline using Music and CS.
