CSTA’s Chapter Grants Program supports CSTA chapters in building strong communities, providing professional development and establishing an operational foundation. Through this program, chapter leadership can apply for funds and CSTA support to expand the impact of local programs, or start new programs that support the growth of computer science teachers and enhance the value of local chapters. This program is funded through the generous support of CSTA’s partners and CSTA membership dues.
There are multiple levels of grants to meet the needs of different projects and chapters.
Please note: For the 2026–27 Chapter Grants funding cycle, only regular chapter grants are available. ECEP/GECKO Grants will not be offered this year. Grant applications will be accepted and awarded twice per year.

Fall 2026
Timeline
- September 7: Grant applications open
- October 25: Grant applications close; applications reviewed by the Program Team
- October 25 – November 7: Grants awarded and applicants notified
Available Grants
- Level 4 (1 available x up to $8,000)
- Level 3 (1 available x $5,000)
- Level 2 (2 available x $1,000)
- Level 1 (5 available x up to $800)
Any funds not awarded in the fall will roll over to the available spring pool. GECKO grants will not be available this year.
Spring 2027
Timeline
- January 4 – February 28: Grant applications open
- February 28: Grant applications close
- February 28 – March 6: Grants awarded and applicants notified

Chapter grant applications must be approved by the CSTA Program Team. All completed applications are subject to approval by the CSTA Program Team.
