Truncated Axis

A data visualization technique where a graph’s axis (usually the y-axis) does not start at the baseline (typically zero), cutting off the bottom portion to focus on a smaller range of values. This method magnifies small differences but can be misleading, as it exaggerates effect sizes and distorts data.
