AI PD Weeks

Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping society, yet most K–12 teachers have had little preparation to teach how AI works or how it connects to foundational computer science. AI and Computer Science Professional Development Weeks address this gap by preparing teachers to move beyond using AI tools toward helping students understand, question, and create with AI.

AI PD Weeks bring teachers together for a week of hands-on learning, collaboration, and practical strategies for teaching artificial intelligence in K–12 classrooms.

Designed for educators across grade levels and experience, these sessions focus on helping teachers understand how AI works, connect it to core computer science concepts, and design lessons where students actively create, test, and evaluate AI systems. After the summer PD, teachers stay connected through local and state networks for continued support.
