The How We Teach Computing Summit, set for Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.,  aligns with Hello World! The Big Book of Computing Pedagogy that focuses on approaches to teaching computing in the classroom. The summit is tailored around the twelve research-based approaches to teaching and learning computing, originally developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation for the National Centre for Computing Education.
The summit aligns with the following CSTA Standards for CS Teachers standards:
  • 2a. Examine issues of equity in CS 
  • 2b. Minimize threats to inclusion 
  • 2c. Represent diverse perspectives 
  • 2e. Use accessible instructional materials
